Arrival
via the A10 Tauernautobahn:
Drive to the Bischofshofen exit. From there, it is around 9 km on the main road into the Mühlbachtal valley before you reach the Arthurhaus directly via the panoramic road.
Arrival from Munich without vignette:
Take the Siegsdorf exit to Inzell, then over the Steinpass to Lofer. Continue via Saalfelden, Maria Alm and Dienten am Hochkönig to Mühlbach – and from there take the panoramic road to the Arthurhaus.
This route is particularly beautiful: you can enjoy the mountain panorama from all angles and save yourself the highway toll. The road is also well cleared in winter, but we still recommend carrying snow chains – just in case.
By train:
The best way to travel from Germany to Bischofshofen is via Salzburg. There is a regular regional bus to Mühlbach am Hochkönig right outside the station – easy, comfortable and scenic.
Cabs are of course also available at the station.

by airplane:
Salzburg is your fastest way to the mountains:
Thanks to TUIfly express connections, you can reach Salzburg in around 1 hour by plane – from Berlin, Düsseldorf, Cologne-Bonn, Hamburg, Hanover or Leipzig/Halle, among others.
From Salzburg Airport “Wolfgang Amadeus” you can get to Mühlbach in approx. 45 minutes by rental car, bus or train.
It is also easy to get here from Munich Airport (approx. 200 km).
