Learning winter sports the easy way

At the Arthurhaus, getting into winter sports is as easy as it is enjoyable. The clearly laid out terrain right next to the hotel and the experienced ski instructors from the Mühlbach ski school create perfect conditions for beginners, returners and young skiers.

The Mühlbach ski school was founded by Peter’s great-grandfather back in 1928 – making it the first ski school in Salzburger Land. This long experience can still be felt today.

More than 25 highly trained ski and snowboard instructors will accompany you with expertise and enthusiasm:

Skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snow biking – or simply making your first turns in the snow safely and with pleasure.

Ski school

Our ski instructors teach using modern methods and up-to-date curricula – with a lot of experience, passion and a clear focus on safety. But the ski school is about more than just technique:

You learn to ski, meet nice people, laugh a lot and enjoy shared experiences in the snow. Whether you’re making your first turns or skiing at a sporty group pace – our sociable ski instructors make sure that there’s never a shortage of fun.

With the right equipment, a well-thought-out exercise structure and the know-how of our experienced ski instructors, we show you how to ski as economically as possible: little effort, maximum progress – with satisfaction guaranteed, of course.

Carving for beginners & advanced skiers

Are you sporty, dynamic, have a solid basic technique and want more? Then the carving course is just right for you. Through targeted exercises and modern technique, you will quickly achieve your first successes – and enjoy the smooth carving of curves on flat to medium-steep terrain.

Master level

For all those who want more: The master level is all about fine-tuning, precision and a variety of techniques. Whether fun carving, race carving, formation skiing, moguls, deep snow or even “new school” – our pros will take you safely through every type of snow and terrain.

With the right training and a professional safety check, you are ideally equipped for all challenges.

Cross-country skiing

Glide, breathe, enjoy

Gliding through the pristine winter landscape on cross-country skis is not only a gentle endurance workout – it is also one of the most beautiful ways to experience the tranquillity of the mountains. The Arthurhaus cross-country ski trail, a 3 km circuit at 1,500 m above sea level, starts directly in front of the Arthurhaus.

For experienced cross-country skiers, the Birgkar trail on the Dientnersattel offers 11 km of sporting variety and fantastic views.

Cross-country skiing lessons are individually tailored to your learning speed and technique – whether classic or skating. The aim is to experience winter nature with safety, enjoyment and flowing movement – at your own pace.
