Snowshoeing is a winter experience in its most pristine form. Step by step, you trudge through snow-covered landscapes, far away from the hustle and bustle and noise – accompanied only by the crunching of the snow under your feet.

When the snow crunches under your feet and there is only silence all around, a very special kind of hiking begins. On snowshoes, you make your own tracks through untouched winter landscapes – off the beaten track, without the hustle and bustle, without noise.
Directly from the Arthurhaus, snow-covered paths lead you through forests, across open slopes and to quiet vantage points with views of the Hochkönig massif.
Whether alone or on a guided tour – snowshoeing is freedom, mindfulness and experiencing nature all in one.

The snow-covered winter landscape on the Hochkönig is just waiting to be discovered – preferably on snowshoes! Together with Peter or Silvia, you can set off across country in a relaxed manner: Put them on, start walking – and you’re right in the middle of the quiet winter wonderland around the Arthurhaus.
Whether a leisurely round tour or a panoramic excursion – Silvia also offers individually tailored private hikes.

Tobogganing
Walking trails, tobogganing fun & quiet moments
In addition to our guided snowshoe hikes, a cleared winter hiking trail awaits you, which starts directly at the children’s lifts and leads in a gentle loop along the cross-country ski trail – ideal for leisurely walks through the snowy Hochkönig landscape.
The toboggan run from the Kopphütte to Mühlbach is a real highlight for young and old alike:
After a 50-minute hike to the rustic hut, you can warm up with homemade mulled wine before setting off on the rapid descent through forests and meadows.
At the end, the ski bus will be waiting to take you back to the Arthurhaus in comfort.
