Cozy huts, chalets and apartments directly in the hiking and skiing area at 1,500 m at the foot of the Hochkönig: ideal for a cozy mountain vacation for friendly families, sociable youth groups, clubs and weekend parties for 1 to 140 people. What could be nicer than returning home to “your own apartment or hut” after a hike in the Mitterberg alpine area? You are also welcome to arrive during the week – it does not always have to be Saturday to Saturday.

Chalet Kirchsteinhütte 1.550hm, 75m² for 1-7 persons

The Kirchsteinhütte is located about 100m above the Arthurhaus parking lot on the hiking trail to the Mitterfeldalm.

The Kirchsteinhütte can be booked as a whole hut or individually as Chalet Mandlwand (2 people) and Chalet Hochkeil (max.5 persons) can be rented.

– Kitchen living with cozy dining table
– Induction stove, oven, refrigerator with freezer, coffee maker for whole beans, kettle
– TV, free wifi
– Bedroom with covered beds
– Bathroom with shower, WC, radio and bath/towels

Your cottage service

The alpine summer comes daily fresh on your breakfast table: Resche Semmeln and milk are delivered by the bakery Bauer (Tel. 7220) directly to the Arthurhaus, where you can pick them up every morning. Butter, milk, cheese and eggs you get in the alpine dairy Schweizerhütte. All other groceries are available at the SPAR store in Mühlbach am Hochkönig.

You can also book the buffet breakfast or the 3-course dinner menu in the Arthurhaus.

House Berghof on the Hochkönig

In terms of comfort, we offer 40 beds in 10 rooms, some with balcony, 4 toilets, 6 modern showers, pantry, storeroom and dining room. The fully equipped kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, a steamer and a large freezer.

In the two cozy dining rooms with wooden ceilings all guests will find plenty of space. In front of our larch wood terrace with barbecue and parasol, nature spreads orange-yellow sunsets.

High Wedge House

Our location at 1,400 m above sea level, directly at the foot of the majestic Hochkönig, is a paradise in the heart of the Salzburg mountains. Here children can romp around to their heart’s content, here it may be high and sometimes loud at the Hüttengaudi. You can rent the Hochkeilhaus in winter with full or half board and in summer as self-catering. Up to 140 guests will find inexpensive, cozy accommodation in our double and multi-bed rooms – with various comfort features.

On the soccer field, the in-house beach volleyball court, in the adventure stream, at the table tennis tables and much more. you are very welcome. Over a wooden bridge you will reach our 1000 m² in-house soccer field. An asphalt surface is available for basketball, volleyball and group games.

5 T-bar lifts (high wedge lifts) are located directly in front of our door. The Mühlbach ski bus takes students to the Schneeberg ski area within 20 minutes.

Have you heard of the “Königsjodler” via ferrata? The most difficult on the Hochkönig and the longest in Salzburg. Or how about alpine climbing in the Mandlwand and the mountain tour to the Matrashaus (2,941 m) at the summit of the Hochkönig?
