Location & Arrival

Only 50 min. South of Salzburgyou’ll be in the Arthur house sooner than you think. The Arthurhaus is located at 1,500 m at the foot of the Mandlwände, 7 km above the dreamy mountain village of Mühlbach am Hochkönig. The developed panoramic road branches off in Mühlbach near the village center and is very well signposted.

My way to Peter in the Arthurhaus, in Mühlbach am Hochkönig

Via the A10 Tauern freeway:
to the Bischofshofen exit, 9 km along the main road to the Mühlbachtal and from there via the panorama road to the Arthurhaus.

From Munich in the direction of Salzburg (without vignette):
to the Siegsdorf exit, then to Inzell and over the Steinpass to Lofer. From there to Saalfelden and via Maria Alm and Dienten am Hochkönig to Mühlbach am Hochkönig and further via the panorama road to the Arthurhaus. The approach from Saalfelden to the Arthurhaus is particularly charming, so you can admire the Hochkönig from all sides and save the highway toll on top. The road is cleared very well in winter and can be driven on without any problems. Nevertheless, you should take the snow chains with you.

Whether by plane or train – everyone arrives at Peter’s at some point
